On Aug. 23, 2018, at approximately 11:02 a.m., a motorcycle crashed with a motor vehicle, at Fred Hill Road and Highway 111, in White County. According to a preliminary report by Trooper Cody Roberts, of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2011 Dodge truck driven by Christopher A. Martin has big plans for new hometown of Sparta

Torry Martin is a transplant to Sparta, a title to which many residents of White County can relate.

Born in Washington state, Martin moved to California to pursue a career in acting. He stated that after a few successful years in California, he became disenchanted with the Hollywood life and decided to move to a remote cabin, in Alaska.
